Organization Profile/Position Overview


Growing special education company seeks intern to work on social media. Intern will play an integral role in supporting company of its mission to create learning environments where it is possible for all students to succeed, no matter academic limitations or educational challenges. 

Intern will work remotely on goal-oriented projects including expanding social media presence, website management, Facebook group management and podcasting growth.


This is a collaborative company and therefore, the special skills, ideas and talents the intern brings to the table will be nurtured and incorporated as appropriate. This is a role that is perfect for a self-starting and responsible individual with a desire to be part of a team.


This position is flexible and would work ideally with an entrepreneurial college-student seeking to expand their resume and build positive references. The company is in Beverly Hills, CA but proximity is of no matter. 

Intern Responsibilities and Learning Objectives

  • Monitor and post on social networks, blogs and websites

  • Write copy for social media and Facebook group

  • Develop freebies, marketing materials, and social media posts 

  • Website and social media optimization

  • Create and cultivate media lists 

  • The ideal candidate will continue to build social media presence and gain experience in project management, public relations and logistics.

Intern Requirements

  • Intern will be expected to be able to work 5 hours a week of intern’s choosing

  • Strongly preferred background in education, child development, or special education. (Don’t let this be a barrier!)

  • Passionate and open-minded about education

  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills

  • Works well individually and with others and will be able to positively receive and integrate feedback.

  • Experience with Google Drive, Canva, Headliner, Trello, and Hootsuite plus (training can be provided for the right candidate)

  • Strong understanding of all social media platforms and SEO
